If it is your rebuilt transmission you don't have to worry about the Tcm reprogram, but if you get a used/rebuilt (jasper) transmission that didn't come out of that truck you need the reprogram as the tcm is in the trans. My rebuild cost ~3k for a complete tear down and rebuild bench job. Their is a nut on it that's 13mm and the stud is 15mm I used 3/8 drive sockets and some long ass extensions on a 1/2' flex head long handle ratchet If your going to do it pick up a set of deep metric swivel sockets for the top bolt. It sucked but it can be done diy the hardest part is getting the top bell housing bolt out. Yes just yanked one out of an 09 suburban 4x4 in winter on my back outside.
